EMC-20ND Semi-Automatic Strapping Machine

The EMC-20ND semi-automatic strapping machine provides a fast, practical way to secure cartons, bundles, and packaged products with polypropylene strap. Specifically, it accepts strap from 6 to 15 millimeters wide and completes a strapping cycle in approximately 1.5 seconds. Therefore, it helps operators increase packaging speed without moving to a fully automatic system.

During normal operation, the operator positions the package and guides the strap around it. Then, the EMC-20ND tensions, heat-seals, and cuts the strap. As a result, companies gain more consistent strap tension and seals than manual tools typically provide.

Why Choose the EMC-20ND?

To begin with, the EMC-20ND uses separate electronic controls for strap feeding, tensioning, and heating. Meanwhile, an external tension knob allows operators to adjust strap force for different cartons and bundles. Because the machine provides up to 55 kilograms of tension, it can secure a variety of packaged products.

Independent controls also simplify routine adjustments. In addition, the machine reaches operating temperature in approximately 20 seconds. Consequently, operators can begin strapping shortly after startup.

Key advantages include:

  • Approximately 1.5-second strapping cycle
  • Adjustable tension up to 55 kg
  • External tension-control knob
  • Independent feed, tension, and heating controls
  • Approximately 20-second heating time
  • Automatic power-saving mode
  • Die-cast sealing blade
  • Strap guide for easier width changes
  • Compact floor-standing design
  • Optional stainless-steel configurations

EMC-20ND Strapping Performance

A magnetic-drive strap cycle supports dependable feeding and tensioning. Furthermore, the machine accepts polypropylene strap widths ranging from 6 to 15 millimeters. Operators can therefore select a strap width that suits the package weight, dimensions, and required containment.

The published minimum package width is 60 millimeters. However, package length, height, weight, surface condition, and stability also affect suitability. For example, very small, flexible, or unusually shaped products may require testing or additional package support.

Controls and Energy-Saving Features

Separate PCB controls manage strap feeding, tension, and heating functions. Meanwhile, the external adjustment knob makes routine tension changes accessible to the operator. Therefore, the machine can accommodate different cartons without complicated programming.

After approximately 15 seconds without use, the EMC-20ND enters its power-saving mode. As a result, the machine limits unnecessary heating during brief pauses while remaining ready for continued operation.

Electrical specifications may vary according to the supplied configuration and installation location. Therefore, facilities should confirm voltage, frequency, phase, circuit capacity, and plug requirements before installation.

Available EMC-20ND Options

The standard machine provides a compact working surface for routine cartons and bundles. However, Eagle also offers configurations for heavier products or humid operating environments.

Available options include:

  • Stainless-steel machine frame
  • Three-millimeter stainless-steel tabletop
  • Three-millimeter stainless-steel ball-transfer tabletop

For example, the ball-transfer surface can make heavier packages easier to reposition. Meanwhile, stainless-steel construction may better suit facilities that require additional corrosion resistance.

Choosing the Right Strapping Solution

The EMC-20ND fits operations that need more speed and consistency than manual strapping while retaining operator control. Therefore, it works well in shipping departments, warehouses, manufacturing facilities, fulfillment operations, print shops, and carton-packaging areas.

Facilities requiring automated package detection and strapping can compare the JN-85UT fully automatic strapping machine. Alternatively, operations that need a portable tool for larger or irregular products can consider the DD160 battery-operated strapping tool.

Ameripak Support for the EMC-20ND

Ameripak evaluates package size, weight, strap width, required tension, electrical service, and production volume before equipment selection. As a result, customers receive a strapping solution matched to their packaging process.

In addition, Ameripak can support strap selection, machine setup, replacement parts, preventive maintenance, and operator training. Therefore, customers gain one knowledgeable source for the equipment and its continuing operating requirements.
