Inscale All-Weather Industrial Floor Scale

The Inscale All-Weather floor scale provides dependable weighing in outdoor, damp and occasional washdown environments. Specifically, it combines a rugged mild-steel platform with upgraded stainless-steel load cells, junction box and leveling feet. As a result, landscapers, recyclers, manufacturers and material-handling operations gain additional environmental protection without the cost of a fully stainless-steel scale.

Why Choose the Inscale All-Weather Scale?

Because the Inscale All-Weather scale uses stainless-steel components in its critical weighing system, it offers greater moisture and corrosion resistance than a standard painted-steel floor scale. Meanwhile, the structural mild-steel platform provides the strength required for pallets, totes, bins and bulk materials.

The 4.5-inch-high platform also creates a low-profile loading surface. Therefore, operators can place loads with a forklift or use an optional ramp for pallet-jack and wheeled-container access.

Designed for Outdoor and Washdown Applications

The Inscale All-Weather scale works well in areas that experience rain, humidity, mud, dust or occasional cleaning. For example, landscape-material suppliers can weigh palletized products stored near outdoor loading areas. Recycling operations, meanwhile, can use the platform for containers, scrap materials and recovered goods.

However, the All-Weather model does not replace a fully stainless-steel washdown scale. Continuous water exposure, aggressive chemicals, high-pressure sanitation and food-processing environments may require a stainless-steel platform and washdown-rated indicator. Therefore, the operating environment should guide the final construction and indicator selection.

Inscale All-Weather Sizes and Capacities

The Inscale All-Weather floor scale comes in two common platform sizes:

  • 48 × 48 inches: Suitable for standard pallets, bins and containers
  • 60 × 60 inches: Provides additional space for larger or irregular loads

Available capacity options include:

  • 2,500 pounds
  • 5,000 pounds
  • 10,000 pounds

Typical readability depends on the selected capacity. For example, a 2,500-pound scale commonly reads in 0.5-pound increments, while a 5,000-pound model typically reads in 1-pound increments. Likewise, a 10,000-pound configuration commonly provides 2-pound readability.

NTEP-Certified Weighing

Available Inscale All-Weather configurations carry NTEP Certificate of Conformance 18-066 for capacities through the 60-by-60-inch, 10,000-pound model. Consequently, properly configured and calibrated systems can support legal-for-trade applications.

NTEP certification matters when a measured weight determines a product price, freight charge or other commercial transaction. However, local requirements and the complete weighing system still affect compliance. Therefore, Ameripak will verify the platform, indicator and application requirements before specifying a legal-for-trade package.

All-Weather or Standard Floor Scale?

A standard Inscale IN7620 industrial floor scale offers an economical solution for dry indoor environments. In contrast, the All-Weather version adds stainless-steel weighing components for improved protection in damp or occasionally washed areas.

Facilities that weigh pallets before wrapping can pair the scale with equipment such as the RB 4001 high-profile pallet wrapper. As a result, operators can verify load weight and then complete the packaging process with fewer unnecessary handling steps.

Ameripak Support for the Inscale All-Weather Scale

Ameripak helps configure the Inscale All-Weather scale around the actual application. First, the team reviews platform dimensions, maximum load weight and required readability. Next, Ameripak considers moisture exposure, cleaning procedures and NTEP requirements. Finally, the selected platform, indicator and accessories create a reliable industrial weighing system for the intended environment.
