Overview

The Ameripak SR-75 Horizontal Stretch Wrapper is engineered for large, bulky, and difficult-to-package products that exceed the capacity of conventional orbital wrapping equipment. Because it provides 75 inches of inside ring clearance, the SR-75 can wrap load profiles up to 53 inches wide by 53 inches tall. Therefore, it is an excellent solution for furniture, building materials, fabricated products, panels, large assemblies, and other oversized loads.

During operation, a rotating ring applies stretch film around the product as the load moves through the wrap zone. As a result, the SR-75 creates a secure, unitized package while helping protect product surfaces from dust, dirt, moisture, abrasion, and handling damage.

In addition, a variable-speed 1 HP AC drive provides smooth ring speeds from 0–18 RPM. Meanwhile, the dual film dispenser system can apply two rolls of film during the same wrapping cycle. Consequently, operators can increase coverage and complete demanding wrap applications more efficiently. Finally, heavy-duty steel construction, industrial controls, and a maintenance-friendly belt-driven ring system provide dependable performance in demanding production environments.

Main Features

75-Inch Horizontal Wrapping Ring

The large ring opening allows the SR-75 to handle products that are too wide, tall, or bulky for smaller horizontal wrappers. During operation, products move through the center of the rotating ring while stretch film is applied around the load. As a result, the machine creates a secure package without requiring the product itself to rotate.

Variable-Speed AC Ring Drive

A 1 HP AC motor with variable-speed control provides adjustable ring speeds from 0–18 RPM. For example, the operator can slow the ring for unstable or delicate loads and increase the speed when the product and application permit. In addition, the belt-driven toroid system is designed for smooth operation and straightforward maintenance.

Dual Film Delivery System

The SR-75 includes two film dispensers that can operate during the same wrapping cycle. Consequently, dual film application can improve coverage and reduce the number of passes needed to achieve the desired wrap pattern.

In addition, each dispenser features fixed-position, adjustable film tension and an easy-load design. Therefore, operators can complete film changes quickly and efficiently. The system accepts machine stretch film up to 20 inches wide on a 3-inch core, with a maximum roll diameter of 10 inches.

Flexible Operator Controls

The SR-75 can be configured with a drive-up push-button pendant or a fixed trolley-mounted control station. Depending on the workflow, Ameripak can recommend the control arrangement best suited to the way products move through the wrap zone.

The pendant configuration includes:

How It Works

1. First, the operator secures the film tail using the integrated holding clip.
2. Next, the product is positioned within the guarded wrapping area.
3. Then, the operator activates the ring and selects the appropriate wrapping speed.
4. As the product moves forward or backward through the ring, one or both film dispensers apply stretch film around the load.
5. Finally, the operator completes the required coverage, stops the ring, and cuts and secures the film.

Depending on the application, the handling sequence can be configured around a forklift, cart, conveyor, or another product-support method appropriate for the load.
