Overview

The Ameripak SR-90 Horizontal Stretch Wrapper is engineered for oversized, bulky, and difficult-to-package products that require more clearance than conventional orbital wrapping equipment can provide. With a 90-inch inside ring clearance, the SR-90 accommodates large load profiles up to 62 inches wide by 62 inches tall, with an alternate maximum profile of 70 inches wide by 48 inches tall.

During operation, the forklift operator carries the load forward and backward through the wrapping ring while controlling the wrap cycle from a push-button pendant. Stretch film is applied around the product to create a secure, unitized package while helping protect product surfaces during handling, storage, and shipment.

A variable-speed 2 HP AC drive provides adjustable ring speeds from 1–12 RPM. Meanwhile, the dual film dispenser system allows both rolls of film to be used during the same wrapping cycle for increased coverage. Heavy-duty structural steel construction, industrial controls, and guarded wrapping areas provide dependable performance for demanding industrial applications.

Main Features

90-Inch Horizontal Wrapping Ring

The large 90-inch ring opening allows the SR-90 to handle oversized products that exceed the capacity of smaller horizontal stretch wrappers. Products are carried through the center of the rotating ring while stretch film is applied around the load.

Because the product itself does not have to rotate, the SR-90 is especially well suited for long, heavy, bulky, or difficult-to-handle products.

Variable-Speed 2 HP AC Ring Drive

A 2 HP AC motor with variable-speed control provides adjustable ring speeds from 1–12 RPM. This allows the operator to adjust wrapping speed based on the size, stability, and configuration of the product being wrapped.

Dual Film Delivery System

The SR-90 includes two film dispensers that can operate during the same wrapping cycle. Dual-film application can increase film coverage and help reduce the number of passes required to achieve the desired wrap pattern.

Each dispenser uses a maintenance-free, fixed-position, adjustable-tension film delivery system. The machine accepts stretch film up to 20 inches wide, on a 3-inch ID core, with a maximum roll diameter of 10 inches.

An easy-load design simplifies film changes, while the film-tail holding clip reduces operator interaction with the film at the beginning of the cycle.

45-Foot Pendant Control

The Drive-Up SR-90 is controlled through a push-button pendant with 45 feet of control cable.

The pendant provides:

This allows the forklift operator to control the ring while moving the load through the wrapping area.

How It Works

1. The forklift operator approaches the SR-90 from the safety-guard side with the load to be wrapped.
2. The operator activates the ring using the pendant control.
3. While holding the Ring Run control, the operator drives the load forward and backward through the guarded wrapping area.
4. The rotating ring applies stretch film around the load as it passes through the machine.
5. Once the desired wrap coverage has been achieved, the operator stops the ring.
6. The operator then dismounts the forklift, cuts and secures the film, and the machine is ready for the next load.
